“One evening I was listening to Raidió na Gaeltachta and one of the announcers was discussing a topic referring to Bóithrín na Smaointe (Memory Lane) which prompted the name of this tune.
As this collection was coming to fruition it was noticeable that many tunes referred to the history of the area and to times gone by. This tune seemed an appropriate title for the collection.”

De réir mar a bhí an bailiúcháin seo ag teacht chun cinn bhí sé le tabhairt faoi deara go raibh go leor tagairtí do stair an cheantair agus d’imeachtaí a bhí tarlaithe san am a bhí caite. Shíleas gur oir an t-ainm mar theideal don bhailiúcháin iomlán.”
